QUIET + COMMUNITY

In novel writing, as in life, deep quiet and warm community are friends. Thank you for taking an interest in my writing and joining me here.

COMMUNITY

"It can be argued that successful art is built on successful friendships. It can certainly be said that friends are what enable an artist to go the distance." — Julia Cameron, Finding Water

Pausing with a glass of wine, talking for hours, not daring to break the spell of magical conversation. Not only art, but life is made beautiful by friendship.

A fountain of life flows out of quiet.

Imagination. Peace. Clarity.

Good ideas at work. A new business. Or sometimes, a novel manuscript.

“When I am constantly running there is no time for being. When there is no time for being, there is no time for listening.”

— Madeleine L’Engle,Walking on Water

QUIET

The Great Wave off Kanagawa is a woodblock print by Japanese artist Hokusai created in late 1831. You’ll see it throughout this website, as it reminds me of life and art and the feelings that accompany them.
